"Arts Council Santa Cruz County generates creativity, vibrancy, and connection."
Help create tomorrow’s leaders.
Through Arts Education, youth learn to problem-solve, innovate, and think critically – many schools in Santa Cruz County don’t meet minimum state standards for arts education. We bridge that gap, bringing creativity to more than 17,000 students in schools.
Make wise investments in the creative economy.
Our Grants program brings funding from federal and private foundations into Santa Cruz County, and disburses more than $200,000 annually to individual artists and arts organizations throughout our community to fund festivals, performances, murals and institutions.
Invest in the livelihood of artists.
The annual Open Studios Art Tour provides a platform for more than 300 artists to share their work with neighbors, friends and collectors, strengthening community ties and generating more than $775,000+ in taxable art sales.
Inspire people where they are.
Collaborating with the County of Santa Cruz to bring five exhibits featuring local and youth artists to the Government Center.
Support the business of art.
Through Fiscal Sponsorship, Sector Research, and Technical Assistance, the Council connects artists and organizations with the resources they need to thrive.

"We ignite our community to give, advocate and volunteer so that our youth succeed in school and life, our residents are healthy and our families are financially independent."

"Since 1982, EarthShare California is a network of over 80 leading environmental nonprofits working together with employers and individuals to protect, support and improve California's heritage of clean air, safe water, diverse wildlife, and healthy communities and families. One contribution to EarthShare supports all the causes we represent, or you can give to the specific causes you care about. Thank you for your support!"
Overview
EarthShare California coordinates workplace giving for over eighty carefully selected environmental charities. Part of the national Earth Share network, EarthShare California offers business partners the opportunity to connect with the most respected organizations, offering solutions to environmental business questions, volunteer opportunities and networking. Our member organizations have been instrumental in maintaining the California landscape, and many have influenced eco-friendly legislation, including the tax credit for energy efficient vehicles.
History and major accomplishments
EarthShare California (ESCA) was formed in 1982 as a coalition of twelve environmental programs working together to raise needed funds through workplace fundraising campaigns. The coalition broke new ground in outreach, education, and fund development strategies. ESCA quickly established itself as a leading workplace fundraising federation in the United States. The concept of an environmental coalition to raise funds in the workplace subsequently expanded to other states and regions. Now representing over 80 diverse environmental groups, ESCA raised nearly $2 Million in 2006 from individuals in 130 public and private sector workplaces. Since its inception, it is estimated that ESCA has raised more than $20 million for the environment. ESCA is today the largest local workplace solicitation organization in the country raising funds on behalf of the environment.

"Creating healthier communities for more than 65 years"
What We Do
We convene leaders at the national, regional and local levels to educate, elevate key issues and improve social impact and community health and wellbeing.
We collaborate with community leaders and coalitions to harness collective efforts; working together to tackle projects that improve community health and wellbeing and address root causes and inequities at scale.
We connect companies with causes to increase their social impact through workplace giving, employee engagement, volunteering, health resources, engagement tools, cause marketing, grants, events, community partnerships and more.
We channel resources to scale the impact of high-impact nonprofits by raising awareness, amplifying their message, and driving more funds and supporters to their cause. Plus, we offer consolidated backend services like payments, processing and more to reduce nonprofit administrative costs.
