The County Counsel serves as the chief civil attorney for the County of Santa Cruz. The Office of the County Counsel manages all civil legal matters on behalf of the County and provides a full range of legal services to the County's Board of Supervisors, elected officials, departments, boards and commissions, and certain special districts. The mission of the County Counsel's Office is to support the Board of Supervisors and County departments to advance the interests of the community through effective, ethical, and creative legal counsel.
